Inside Newton District Court
If you are charged with a crime in Newton, there are very good odds that your case will be tried in Newton District Court. This Middlesex County courthouse is situated at 1309 Washington St., West Newton, MA 02465. In addition to hearing misdemeanor and felony cases (plus some civil cases), this district court also provides random drug testing, clinical assessments, and other services that come with the supervised probation terms of Adult Drug Court.
There is metered public parking on the street and at a parking lot. You can also take the MBTA Framingham/Worcester line all the way to West Newton Station, which is just a four-minute walk away from the courthouse. Alternatively, if you take the Green D Line to Woodland Station, you'll still be within a mile of the courthouse. The MBTA bus routes that can get you to Newton District Court are Bus 170, Bus 505, Bus 553, Bus 554, Bus 556, and Bus 558.
